Tanya Peckham

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Tanya Peckham

I am very excited to be part of the West Lee Elementary TEAM this year! This is my 17th year teaching. I have taught 1st and 2nd grade most of my career. I love first grade because the students make so much growth during the year. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island and hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Elementary Education.

Recently, my family and I moved back to South Carolina after spending the last two years stationed in the Middle East on military orders. My husband and I have four children, ages 19, 17, 8, and 6. The youngest two children are West Lee Elementary tigers! When I am not at school, I love to read, shop, travel, and spend time at the beach. I am looking forward to a great year. We will work hard this year, but we will learn a lot and make many new friends!
